Meet Kelli.
Kelli Kyle is a passionate communicator with a love for storytelling. Most days, she can be found dancing and learning about the people, places and world around her. She taps into this spirit as the producer and host of The North County Beat, a bi-weekly podcast by The Coast News, covering the top headlines and cool people doing cool things in North County San Diego.
Over the years, Kelli has contributed work to NBC Nightly News, PBS NewsHour Digital and KCETLink TV, covering major events like the Presidential Inauguration, Women's March on Washington, 2016 Republican National Convention and the 50th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march in Selma, Alabama. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists and Syracuse Press Club.
A 2017 graduate of Ithaca College, Kelli received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with summa cum laude honors. She was a 2-year recipient of the Park Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship program with a focus on service, academics, media and leadership. Her minors in history and french took her to Aix-en-Provence, France, for a four-month study abroad experience.
At Ithaca College, Kelli led a team of talented journalists as the news director for 91.7 WICB-FM in Ithaca, New York, and collaborated on a short documentary exploring life for refugees in Utica, New York. Her work with ICTV Newswatch allowed her to dive into every role, from reporter to producer to anchor. When she wasn't on the air, Kelli volunteered her time with the Village at Ithaca, the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County, local middle and high schools and several other community organizations.
At her current day job as a Marketing Writer with Buffini & Company, a real estate coaching company in Carlsbad, California, Kelli produces all types of content from blogs and articles to an entire print magazine. Before this, she helped craft Buffini & Company's digital pages as the Social Media Specialist, organizing Facebook Live broadcasts and managing the company's paid and organic social.
